It Be Black Friday.

Thanksgiving was survived.  Two small turkeys sacrificed.  It was a good day.

Now it is Black Friday.   I think retailers call it Black Friday because it is intended to put their books into the black for the year.  They will be sadly disappointed if they were expecting to get me to participate and contribute to their corporate bonuses.

However, the name Black Friday could have a great impact on sales for retailers if they would just expand on it a little bit.   They should make it a week long event and be able to target specific ethnic groups each day in order to maximize sales. Breaking it down it would look like this.

1.  Black Friday.  A day for the African-American populace to shop.

2.  Southwest Saturday.   For our Latino Friends.

3.  Sand Dune Sunday.  For the shoppers of Middle Eastern Descent.

4.  Mixed up Monday .   For those of mixed heritage not sure of where they fit.

5.  Taiwan Tuesday.   For the Asian population to be able to get their holiday gifts.

6.  White Bread Wednesday.   For the Less Colorful shoppers.

7.  Thunderbird Thursday.   For the Native American crowd.

And as a bonus day............

8.  Effed up Friday,  For the less fortunate, handicapped and mentally disabled  shoppers.

By doing this, the retailers would be able to target specific Ethnic groups and be able to sell all the crap that they haven't been able to move since last year.  This would eliminate the hassles of  trying to target all groups on one day.

Just a thought.

Sun Nova Beach

I have been using the name Sun Nova Beach Productions for my music for about a year and a half now.  I am slowly taking it public.   I now have a Blog for the Business where I will be posting some of the music I have written and recorded.   Eventually I will have a regular website but this is all I can afford for now.

I will be contacting some of my musician friends that I have known and worked with in the past and I will be inviting them to contribute to the company so maybe I can sell their music for them.

Check it out.

Music

I now have close to 300 songs and jingles in the tank.  Soon I shall release upon the world my publishing company and jingle writing and recording services.   My web pages are nearly completed.  I need to find a free hosting service with a music player that will let some of my music be played on the web pages.  I am also going to open a Reverbnation page to get the word out and spread my music like pollen across the country.

Or I could just be pissing in the wind and will only have 300 or so songs in the tank.

Aging....... again. Still..... Yet?

I pee every morning at 6:00 am.   Whether I am out of bed or not.  It doesn't matter if I went to bed at 5:00 am.  I will still pee at six.

Just about every day I discover a new part of my body.   I find it because it hurts for some reason.

I see a new gray hair every time I look in the mirror.

I live on fiber.

I wear clothes that 10 years ago I would not have been caught dead in.   They are comfortable.

I used to fart because it was funny.   Now I fart just because.

What I used to do all night, now take me all night to do.

I consider viagra.

I am generally too tired to care about viagra.

I think the tan on my bald head looks good.

I look at others my age and think I may have weathered the storm of life better than they did.  Then I look in a mirror.

I sometimes wonder if a tattoo would ad a more youthful appearance.

Toupee??????   Nah!

Naps do help.

Another Day On The Rise.

The full splendor of sunrises and sunsets has escaped me over the last many years.   I had forgotten that the sky could be such a rich deep blue when you are a mile closer to it.   The stars have returned to the sky in their full glory.  Why I ever left the top of the Earth to dwell in the cesspool of life I will never know but I am again amongst those who have chosen Gods country.   The horizon stretches in every direction unmarred by  folly of man.   The peaks of the Rocky mountains point the way.  A new life has been calling me for a long time. It is funny how the new life takes me back to the old.  Home is where your heart is and my heart never left the roots of my youth.

It is a frightening venture to just throw everything away and go on a quest to seek happiness, peace tranquility and the hope of a better future.   But no matter how hard we have to struggle, what we are finding on our quest, it is better than what we had before we began our adventure.  Nothing was lost and we have everything to gain.

So be it.

Midget Hookers

A couple of years ago I played several shows doing guest appearances with another band.  We were playing a rough bar in Marietta Ga.    I probably did 3 or 4 shows and attended several others.   In this bar was a chick probably 45 inches tall.   She wore all the required hooker apparel including 4 inch spike heels.

I developed a fascination for this short slut.  No one would give me any money.   I could have got laid for half off the regular price.  I am sure she would not have shorted me.  She looked really sincere. I begged the spouse for a little money so I could get a little nookie. It was no small thing for me to get the courage up to ask the spouse for some money.   I was just nuts over her.

Alas, as things come to pass.  My tiny obsession with this unique sex object had to be let go.  I realized that I could have come up with all kinds of little problems.   I could have contracted a dreaded case of Peanuts.  Or worse yet..... Smallcox.

I shall just have to let her live in my short daydreams.

Cheyenne

I haven't spent any time in Cheyenne in the last 20 years.    Much is the same, but much has changed.  The wife pretty much grew up here and many of the places she remembers as a kid are gone or have changed.  That is the nature of things I guess. It is still a very nice  town.

We were married here 33 years ago come October.   I cry every time I pass the church.   I think it was secretly a den of Satan camouflaged as a church.   I lost my soul and have been in hell ever since.

I was touring with a band in 1980 when we were booked at a hot C&W bar called the Mayflower here in Cheyenne.   At the time I was playing bass and singing backup harmonies with a traveling show.   The Spouse was waiting tables in the restaurant portion of the place. I got her drunk, had sex with her and I ain't been able to get rid of her since.     We walked around downtown the other night and the Mayflower is now a sushi bar.  I about shit. How can I tell the kids I met their mom in a friggin sushi bar.

There is not much country music on tap for live music here nowadays.   Mostly it is classic rock with a couple of metal places open.   There are just a couple of C & W bars that have bands regular.  Glad I play Blues and old rock.

I think most of the places we played at when we were touring in 1980 are gone now. A couple of them burnt down.   Most were bought out and changed owners and some just closed.  One was taken out in a hurricane.

Fond Memories.......    of things gone like yesterdays morning fart.
